The 2025 Colfax County Fair is right around the corner, and you won’t want to miss a moment of this fun-filled week of agriculture, community, and celebration in Springer, New Mexico. From livestock shows and quilt contests to dancing and rodeos, there’s something for everyone!

Monday, July 21
  • TBA – Queens’ Contest


Tuesday, July 22
  • 8–10 AM – Quilt Show Entries, Exhibit Hall

  • 10:30 AM – Quilt Judging (Closed to Public)


Wednesday, July 23
  • 7:30 AM – Horse Show Entries, East Arena Gate

  • 8:30 AM – Horse Show

  • 5–6:30 PM – Exhibit Hall Non-Perishable Entries

  • 10 PM – Quiet Time


Thursday, July 24
  • 7 AM–12 PM – Livestock Check-In

  • 8–10 AM – Indoor Exhibit Registration

  • 11 AM–12 PM – Swine Weigh-In

  • 1–2 PM – Cattle, Sheep, Goats Weigh-In

  • 3–4 PM – Commercial Vendors Set Up

  • 3 PM – Poultry and Rabbits Judging

  • 4:30–7 PM – Exhibit Hall Open

  • 6 PM – Swine Judging

  • 10 PM – Quiet Time


Friday, July 25
  • 8 AM – Sheep and Goats Judging

  • 9:30 AM–7 PM – Exhibit Hall Open

  • 1 PM – Cattle Judging

  • 6:30 PM – Round Robin Showmanship Contest

  • 6:30 PM – Ranch Rodeo

  • 8–11 PM – Dance featuring CappTon Reid

  • 12:30 AM – Quiet Time


Saturday, July 26
  • 7:30 AM – Mayor’s Run/Walk, City Hall

  • 9 AM – Exhibit Hall Open

  • 10 AM – Knights of Columbus Cake Walk

    • Pie, Cake, & Coffee, Methodist Church

  • 10:30 AM – Colfax County Parade Line-Up & Judging

  • 10:45 AM – Kid’s Parade Starts

  • 11 AM – Colfax County Fair Parade

  • 11:30 AM–1:30 PM – Bar-B-Q served, Miller-Lark Barn

  • 1 PM – Fair & Rodeo Royalty Crowned

  • 1 PM – “Whatever It Takes” Series, Open Rodeo, TA Rodeo

  • 2 PM – Fair & Rodeo Queens’ Announced

  • 2 PM – People’s Choice Quilt Voting Closes

  • 3 PM – Exhibit Hall Closes

  • 4:30–5:30 PM – Exhibits Released from Exhibit Hall

  • 5 PM – Buyer’s Dinner, Miller-Lark Barn

  • 6 PM – Awards

  • 6:30 PM – Jr Livestock Sale, Miller-Lark Barn

  • 8–11 PM – Dance featuring DJ Noby, Exhibit Hall

  • 12:30 AM – Quiet Time


Sunday, July 27
  • 8 AM – Cowboy Church (All Welcome)

    • Clean-Up of Exhibit Hall & Fairgrounds

  • 9 AM – Livestock Released with Permission of Supers and Livestock Inspector

  • 12 PM – “Whatever It Takes” Series, Open Rodeo, TA Rodeo


Additional Highlights
  • Cloverbud Livestock Shows will follow the main livestock shows.

  • Youth Rodeo Events will take place during Saturday and Sunday rodeos.

  • “Brand the Wall” – Brand the Show Barn for $20 after Friday shows or various times Saturday.

  • People’s Choice Quilt Contest – Cast your vote for $0.50 in the Indoor Exhibit Hall.
