Gate City Music Festival

Date: September 5–6, 2026

Location: Historic First Street & Shuler Theater | Raton, NM

Times: Saturday festivities begin at 10 AM; Sunday festivities begin at 12 PM; Exile performs Sunday from 7–9 PM

Downtown Raton comes alive for the 11th annual Gate City Music Festival with two days of live music, vendors, food, a Kids Zone and more. Enjoy free outdoor entertainment throughout the weekend before legendary country band Exile headlines Sunday evening at the Historic Shuler Theater.

Rumble & Rumba Car and Music Fest

Date: Saturday, September 5, 2026

Location: The Historic St James | 617 S. Collison Ave., Cimarron, NM

Times: Car registration at 10 AM | Car show begins at 12 PM | Live music begins at 2 PM

Classic cars meet live music at the historic St. James Hotel for Rumble & Rumba. Spend the afternoon checking out the car show before enjoying performances from Shistr, Los Malcriados, Sangre Joven and headliner Hartless, plus a special St. James street taco food and drink offering.

Star Party at the NRA Whittington Center

Date: Friday, September 4, 2026

Location: NRA Whittington Center | Shotgun Center Parking Lot by Trap Field #17, Raton, NM

Time: 8 PM

Kick off the weekend under the stars! Explore constellations, get a closer look at the third-quarter moon and peer deep into the night sky through a giant telescope. Guests are also welcome to bring their own telescopes, spotting scopes or binoculars.

Live Historic Cannon Demonstrations

Date: Friday & Saturday, September 4–5, 2026

Location: NRA Whittington Center | Red Course, Raton, NM

Times: Friday at 3 PM | Saturday at 9 AM & 2 PM

Celebrate the Whittington Center's Donor Appreciation Weekend and the nation's 250th anniversary with live historic cannon demonstrations. It's a unique opportunity to experience a piece of history brought to life against the wide-open landscape of Colfax County.

Roy Weathers Band

Keep the Donor Appreciation Weekend festivities going with live country music from the Roy Weathers Band. The Labor Day weekend performance is part of a full weekend of activities taking place at the Whittington Center.

Live Music at Par & Grill

Date: Friday & Saturday, September 4–5, 2026

Location: Angel Fire Resort Golf Course | 100 Country Club Dr., Angel Fire, NM

Times: Friday, Ry Taylor from 12–2 PM | Saturday, Jeremiah Glauser from 11 AM–2 PM

Grab lunch and settle in on the patio at Par & Grill for live music in the mountains. Ry Taylor performs Friday afternoon, followed by Angel Fire favorite Jeremiah Glauser on Saturday.

Summer Music Series: DK & The Affordables

Date: Saturday, September 5, 2026

Location: Mountain View Event Center | Angel Fire, NM

Time: 5:30–7:30 PM

Spend Saturday evening in the Moreno Valley with free live music from DK & The Affordables. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy one of the final Summer Music Series concerts of the season surrounded by Angel Fire's mountain scenery.

Angel Fire Farmers' Market
